PVDF is the homopolymer of 1, 1-di-fluoro-ethene. Its highly desirable insolubility and electrical properties result from the polarity of alternating CH2 and CF2 groups on the polymer chain. An extremely hard material, porous PVDF may be used at temperatures from -80 to 300°F (-62 to 149°C). No oxidation or thermal degradation occurs during continuous exposure to 300°F (149°C)
